The Gospel of John

Preface to the Module on the Gospel of John

Each gospel emphasizes a different aspect. Matthew addresses a Jewish audience and shows how Jesus fulfills the Scriptures. Mark – the oldest gospel – highlights discipleship: whoever wants to follow Jesus must take up their cross. Luke shows that Jesus came for all people, regardless of background or origin. The Gospel of John focuses especially on the unique identity of Jesus: fully human and fully God.

John’s gospel is rich in depth and thematic variety. One could easily dedicate another entire module to it. In this study, we address topics that are not only theologically significant but also closely connected to everyday life. We encounter Jesus in His full glory – both His humanity and His divinity – which makes the study both varied and profound.

The gospel is divided into five parts, each with 10 to 15 units. No chapter is skipped – we take the time to study each section thoroughly.

Our prayer is that this study deepens your faith and helps you get to know Jesus better. We wish you God’s abundant blessing as you explore this impressive gospel.
