Foreword to a Journey Through the New Testament
Many Christians read the Bible in small, isolated parts. But to truly understand it, it’s important to see the bigger picture. Without that, our knowledge of the faith often remains shallow. This module (together with the module on the Good News from the Old Testament) shows that the Bible tells one continuous story – from creation to re-creation, with Jesus Christ at the center from beginning to end.
In this module, we explore all the books of the New Testament in a personal and practical way. Through thought-provoking statements, questions, Bible texts, and deeper insights, you will learn more about the life of Jesus and the time that followed. Along the way, we consider questions such as: Who was Jesus? Who wrote the books of the New Testament? What were the early Christians concerned about? How did God guide them? And what can we learn from that today?
This module is based on the booklet Better News from the New Testament by Jasper Klapwijk but has been independently developed into an interactive study. We hope that throughout this journey, you will continue to discover more of the better news found in the New Testament!
